Ebay

Needing some advice from my blogger friends. I'm just not having the luck on Ebay as I usually do. I'm wondering if it is ME or the Economy!?!

I have some smocked dresses-really nice/expensive ones, Gymboree clothing, Lily Pulitzer dress, etc. and I'm afraid to put them on because lately I've been paying seller fees and NOT selling! Quite frustrating.

Here's one of my frustrations--they separate the 6-9 and the 9-12 when you know most clothing is runs 6-12 months. So do you usually do it 6-9 or 9-12 or do you do both and pay additional fees? I know I usually do it closer to how it runs..whether it runs smaller or larger, but it is still really frustrating!

So, do you have any advice? I almost am thinking about putting them out here on blogger world and if you are interested you can pay me through Paypal. Do I have any lookers? Buyers? Is this legal?

Help me out!
Thanks!

I couldn't agree with you more. I listed a ton of stuff on ebay not too long ago and it was like giving away my daughter's old clothes. I must be the economy.

I buy on ebay all the time. But have only tried selling once. It was more than a year ago- I put thee things up. Sold nothing so it cost me fees in the end. All three items were Lilly dresses too. But ppl must have luck because I see lots of sellers who have thousands of past sales.

I have never sold on ebay, but have bought a considerable amount. I am not buying as much of anything right now, ebay or otherwise. I think it is the economy.

I tried selling on eBay once and just went back to the consignment store route. Works better for me - have you given that a try (especially with the children's clothing)?

I would be interested in some of the stuff you are selling... Right now my little girl is in 6mo clothes, but I would also be interested in larger sizes... Want to discuss over email? mrspreppy at gmail

I've had alot of luck selling things in bulk... like 20-40 pieces starting at 20 bucks. Most of them doubled in price, so that was cool. Never had any luck selling everything seperately.

I sell a lot on ebay and have some things listed now. I think Lilly gets a better price when it's older sizes. I think baby sizes can be tough and I agree with you, it makes it hard when they split out the size. If it's marked 6 -12 I ususally go with 9 - 12 on ebay.Whatever I make it's usually more than I can get from the consignment store. Good Luck!
