I'm sticking with my 80's theme so here are some lines from famous movies of that time. Whomever can remember the names of the movies these came from will be receiving a little treat from moi! Some titles may or may not be repeated....
Here goes:
1. When referring to the fit of a woman's dress at a wedding reception located in the deep South, "Looks like two pigs fighting underneath a blanket."
2. "No shit, Chet...." spoken in a drunken slur.
3. Guy says, "What's your name?" Girl says, "Claire." "Cuh-laire? Claire is a fat girl's name," responds Guy. "No it's not," says Girl.
4. "Wax on...wax off...wax on....wax off."
5. "I feel the need, the need for speed!"
6. "Nobody puts baby in a corner."
7. An old jazz singer says, "Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues."
8. "I wanna be just like you. I figure all I need is a lobotomy and some tights..."
9. "Despite my appearance at this function, I remain now, & will always be a Duckman."
10. "Mr. Nolan, it's for you. It's God. He says we should have girls at Welton."
11. Woman says, "High....I want a baby.Get me a baby."
12. "Whass happenin' hot stuff?"
13. "It was an accident. I'll take it again. I can fail, I know I can." Referring to test...
14. Teacher in class teaching in a monotone voice, "The answer is something 'doo' economics...voo-doo economics."
15. "You break his heart and I'll break your face."
So I remembered most of these myself in my free time (yeah, right) but do have to admit to snatching a few from the Internet. Good luck! :)

Movies in Review...
I have actually gotten to go and see a few movies in the past couple of weeks--some at home, some in the theatre. I was needing to GET OUT so it was good to do so! Being at home with smallish children for long amounts of time makes this mama a wee bit loco! Here's what I've seen and a rating...
Baby Mama: Cute, predictable, average, not as good as Knocked Up!. I did catch myself cracking up out loud a few times though. Would've been just as good on your home TV as it was in the theater. 3 stars out of 5
Forgetting Sarah Marshall: Stars Jason Segel and Kristen Bell; I wish someone would've told me that this one has full frontal nudity of a DUDE! (And he's certainly NOT ALL THAT to see.....now if it was Matthew McConaughey that would be a different story.) I was in shock and apparently the only person on Earth who had no clue that this was in the movie! It has some funny parts, but a lot of it is just tacky humor if you ask me (and this is coming from a person who thought Superbad was hil-freaking-larious). I would give it 2.5 stars out of 5. It was a compromise for me and the husband........he wanted to see Iron Man and I didn't. Definitely a rental if you are bored.......
The Good Shepard (home rental): Drama; stars Matt Damon & Angelina Jolie among others. It is really good, long and you have to actually watch it to really get it. It has a somewhat complex story line (meaning I had to has my husband what the hell was going on a few times). It is kind of hard to understand what the characters are saying b/c there are some strong accents (Russian) so we ended up putting the closed captioning on (like old people) to make sure we were getting it. I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5

Juno (home rental): starring Ellen Page and the dorky guy from Superbad.....I think I might be the very last person to see this movie. What can I say? It was great! Great music too! 5 out of 5 stars
(and yes, it is bothering me that Juno is on the LH side and the others are centered in the middle--I don't know how to fix it so if you do, comment to me and help me--it won't let me delete it either!!!! argh)

I thought we rented something else, but I guess that is it. It is rare for us to get to see so many movies that close together. My parents were visiting some of that time so we had a date night one night! I do love movie popcorn. It is so yummy! (Don't know why I got off track and onto the popcorn track---food and my one track mind!)
So, there you have it--MAPG's Movies in Review ....let me know if you've seen them and what you thought or if you have some other movies I need to see!

American Gangster

(or in our case, movie we own...)
Starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. Who doesn't like Denzel Washington, I ask you?
You seen it? Great movie. I have one word for you - INTENSE.
Not a chick flick. I repeat. NOT a chick flick. Hubby will LOVE it that you want to watch it. Also is lengthy, so put kids to bed early, make a snack and drink and get ready to be seriously entertained--or freaked out--or both. You choose.......
PS. In my head when I say 'American Gangster' I say it more like "American Gangsta" and when I do I think of that old song "Naughy by Nay-cha (nature), not cuz' I hate cha..." Get it?

Into the Wild
Have you ever watched this movie based on the book by Jon Krakauer? We are watching it now and it is really depressing........and weird and doesn't make me feel very happy, which I like most movies to do. You seen it?
