Mmmmmmmmmmmm

I made brownies for Big Brother's class tomorrow. I made fudge-y ones and then put white frosting on top and red sprinkles. That's about as complicated as I get.......with any cooking! They are going to turn the air down really low and make it really cold and put wax paper on the floor and pretend to be ice skating. I'm wondering how that will turn out.

All they really need to do is open the door for a while. It is c-c-cold for South Georgia!

Big Brother said he needs a scarf. He is 5. He doesn't have one. He said we could make one out of paper. I'm hoping that he will forget this in the morning. I will be in no mood to make a scarf out of paper. I will be hauling booty to get them both out the door so I can go to work!

But my Poinsettias are still alive. I swear, I kill the stuff I want to stay alive and the stuff I would rather die off is still thriving!

Is it appropriate/etiquettely correct to still have Poinsettias in your urns out front? Think about that one and let me know.......

LOL about the scarf out of paper!!! I love it!

I don't think it's weird at all to have the poinsettias out front. I think it's nice to have some color in the bleak January landscape!

I have a funny story for you! (unrelated to this post)

My husband was looking for something online on my laptop last night. He looked at my "favorites" folder and said "Who is 'Mad about Plaid Girl' " I said, Oh, it's a girl that has a really cute blog I like to read. He says "So, do you know her?" I replied, No, but I know she's really sweet and I can't get enough of her funny stories. Then he pauses and says "So, what's her name?" I reply "Mad about Plaid Girl!" He says "YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THESE PEOPLES NAMES???"

I just laughed. He OBVIOUSLY doesn't get blogging! :>)

Those brownies sound so good!

And I say - leave the poinsettias for the winter - everyone needs a little cheer when it's so cold outside!

I had a poinsetta last for like 14 months last year. I kept it on my back porch during the summer. It's a plant....it fit right in with my t'maters.
